Keynote Speaker:
Peter J. Aranda III
Executive Director and CEO, The Consortium
Peter J. Aranda, III is Executive Director and CEO for The Consortium for Graduate Study in Management . Peter began his MBA career as a consultant with Andersen Consulting and Price Waterhouse. His aspirations included running a business unit where he later transitioned into industry with a merchandising subsidiary of MCA, and at BMG where he held several positions including chief executive officer, chief operating officer and managing director. Focusing the latter half of his career on academia, Peter has been an adjunct faculty member and guest lecturer in business at several institutions including the University of Virginia, the University of Southern California and Columbia University
As the first Consortium alumnus to lead the organization in its 45 year history, Peter combines his personal connection with the organization, his knowledge as an industry executive and his experience in the academic sector to strengthen the organization and further its mission. During his tenure, The Consortium has added four member schools to its participating MBA programs, increased its member base by nearly 2,000 students and expanded its alumni to over 6,000 members. His perspective as a Consortium alumnus helps him serve as an advocate for minority populations seeking a business degree. Peter holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in marketing from University of Southern California, a Master's of Information Management from Washington University in St. Louis' School of Engineering and Applied Science and an MBA from the university's Olin School of Business. Additionally, he completed all coursework, residency requirements and qualifying exams (ABD) for the Ph.D. degree in Strategic Management, Management of Organizations Division at Columbia University.
The DMAC - What is it ? The Diversity MBA Admissions Conference (DMAC) is an annual conference that connects talented underrepresented candidates who wish to pursue a degree in management with the top business schools in the country. What's in it for you? • Create personal relationships with Admissions Officers from over 20 of that nation's top business schools including Stanford, Harvard and Wharton • Lunch Provided - View Photos from Last Year's Conference Here - Early Registration Benefits! Most MBA events are held at convention centers where thousands of prospects are bombarding a handful of Admissions Directors. Riordan Programs Alumni Association
Started in 2000, the Riordan Programs Alumni Association (RPAA) provides graduates of the Riordan Programs an extension of their professional, educational and personal leadership development through collaborative efforts to develop tomorrow's leaders and serve the community. The RPAA achieves these goals through its two flagship initiatives: The Saturday Business Academy (SBA), a program designed to prepare traditionally disadvantaged and underserved high school students with the skills and academic guidance necessary to become future business leaders. And, through the annual Diversity MBA Admissions Conference (DMAC), held every summer where the nation’s top business schools seek to recruit talented candidates from underrepresented backgrounds.
